This is a comprehensive, structured and practical Level 5 coaching qualification programme that equips learners with enhanced skills to confidently plan, manage and perform coaching sessions with clients to support them with their goals, needs and outcomes.
Learning to be a coach practitioner requires a deeper level of learning, an understanding of what the roles and responsibilities are and how to manage boundaries, ethical dilemmas, hooks and triggers with coaching a client.
Coaching supervision is a fundamental part of this learning programme and is included in the learning hours.
On completion of this qualification course learners will
Know what coaching is and is not
Understand the roles and responsibilities of a coach practitioner
Have developed a set of high-level skills in coaching, communication, psychological tools and techniques to support others
Learn how to avoid ethical dilemmas and boundaries
Know the importance of clear contracting and confidentiality agreements
Learn the five steps to setting up a structured plan of coaching with clients
Have coached three people for six hours each
Have received coaching supervision
Have a written set of reflective statements
Have gained a recognised Level 5 coaching qualification.
Coaching supervision has been woven into this programme to support the learning and challenges of working as a coach practitioner.
40 hours of learning including training and coach supervision
Live interactive video sessions
1-2-1 and group coach supervision sessions
18 hours of verified formal coaching practice
9 – 12 month programme depending on formal coaching timescale being completed
Self-managed co-coaching practice with peer group learners
